STORY INTRODUCTION
Last year, muckraking S.P.I.T.E. reporter Bert Rudall wrote a sizzling expose on NetScoop and its CEO, Alan Paulson.This article can be found in the back issues of the tabloid. Immediately after the publication of his article, Bert Rudall disappeared. Many people believe him dead. Others believe he is in hiding, either from Paulson or from the Vulgarian Secret Service. One of those people who believes Rudall is still alive hired Joe Terror to find Bert and bring him back home. Joe guards the identity of his client closely, but it is whispered that he was hired by MegaHard president Gil Bates.
Joe has spent the last year looking for Rudall...at least until he disappeared himself. An attempt was made on his life by the VSS and Joe went into hiding. Detectives who work for him are still receiving paychecks with someone (Yelm Howler?) having power of attorney. Joe's mandate to his employees is clear: Find Bert Rudall, alive or dead. Only then will it be safe for Joe himself to come out of hiding.
